Portico is the Alumni magazine for University College London. The magazine was given a complete redesign, for the 2019/20 issue. The challenge was to mix up the length and format of features and make them more digestible.
With a mix of Illustration and photography, with some stock photography, the imagery is now a lot more engaging and surprising.
The magazine needed more mechanisms to drive user engagement within the Alumni. The aim was to create more discussion and encourage readers to seek more information on the UCL website, which eventually led to the launch of an online Portico hub.
